Backwaiter/Busser

THE POSITION:

  • Duties include but are not limited to stocking, polishing silver, glass and dishware, setting, bussing and clearing tables, trash and recycling removal, running food and drinks
  • Knowledge of the dish room, including separating and polishing of silverware, dishes & glassware appropriately
  • Provides expert guidance and personalized attention throughout guest experience
  • Assuring compliance with all sanitation & other safety guidelines
  • Monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables
  • General knowledge of menu offerings and descriptions in order to effectively run food and communicate with guests.
  • Pre-bussing, clearing, wiping tabletops, chairs & booths, and setting tables according to company policy

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous fine dining restaurant experience preferred with enthusiasm to learn and ambition to grow
  • Two years of experience in a similar restaurant environment preferred
  • Food Handler’s certification, ABC RBS training certification
  • Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly and safely
  • Must be able to work standing or walking for 8 hours
  • Must be able to move 50 pounds at time
  • Must be able to comply with all health and safety standards
